OUR INVOLVEMENT IN WORLD MISSIONS
Believing we are called to go “into all the world and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15), Adirondack Baptist Church supports numerous missionaries throughout the world. We endeavor to support our missionaries in particularly three ways. First and foremost, we support our missionaries through prayer. One way we pray for missionaries is through a missionary moment during our morning service each week. Next, we support our missionaries through financial support. For the past several years we have given over 20% of our general offering to missions. Finally, we seek to provide moral support or encouragement to those serving on the mission field. One of the ways we do this is by mailing cards to our missionaries for holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. Our desire is that the “nations will be glad” (Psalm 67) as the truth of the gospel is proclaimed. It is also our desire that new believers are discipled, churches are planted, and in time the work is turned over to national pastors who can carry on the work of the ministry. We take the call of the great commission seriously and are humbled by the opportunity we have to participate in this ministry.
